It has 171 Departmental Purchase Centres and 16 Regional Offices in 6 jute growing states i.e., West Bengal, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Assam & Tripura with Head Office at Kolkata.

Job Number: 01
Job Designation: Marketing Manager

Number of Positions: 04(Four)

Scale of Pay: Rs.24900 – 50500 (Revised IDA Scale as on 1-1-2007). Higher scale/grade may be offered to the deserving candidates.

Age: 35 – 45 years (Age can be relaxed in case of departmental candidates & candidates having high academic standards).

Place of Posting: Kolkata

Educational Qualification:
1) A degree from a recognised University and/or a Degree/Diploma in Jute Technology.
2) Should have at least 7 years’ experience in operations involving purchase/sale of jute/other agricultural commodities in a Public Sector Undertaking or Commercial/Industrial organization of repute with adequate knowledge of Computer out of which at least 2 years’ in the pay scale of Rs.20600 – 46500/- (Revised IDA as on 1-1-2007) or equivalent.
3) Should possess proficiency in marketing of raw jute/jute goods/other commodities with administrative ability.

Job Designation: Manager (Mis/System)

Number of Positions: 01(One)

Scale of Pay: Rs.24900 – 50500 (Revised IDA Scale as on 1-1- 2007). Higher Scale/grade may be offered to the deserving candidate.

Age: 35-40 years (Age can be relaxed in case of departmental candidates & candidates having high academic standards).

Place of Posting: Kolkata

Educational Qualification:
1) BE/B.Tech (Electronics & Computer Engineering / IT / Computer Science / MCS/MBA (System) from a recognised University / Institute.
2) 2)    Should have at least 7 years’ experience in related fields out of which at least 2 years in the pay scale of Rs.20600 – 46500/- (Revised IDA as on 1-1-2007) or equivalent.

Job Designation: Business Development Manager

Number of Positions: 01(One)

Scale of Pay: 24900-50500 (Revised scale as 01-01-2007). Higher Scale/grade may be offered to the deserving candidate.

Age: 35-40 Years (Age can be relaxed in case of candidates having high academic standards and experience)

Place of Posting: Kolkata

Educational Qualification:
A full time degree from a recognized University/Degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology. A full time post graduate Degree/Diploma in Business Management will be given preference.
Experience: Should have at least 7 years experience in Business Development activities in a Public Sector Enterprise or Commercial/ Industrial Organization of repute out of which at least 2 years in pay scale of Rs. 20600-46500/- (revised IDA as on 01.01.2007) or equivalent.

Job Number: 04
Job Designation: Protocol Officer

Number of Positions: 01(One)

Scale of Pay: Rs.16400 – 40500 (Revised scale as 01-01-2007). Higher Scale/grade may be offered to the deserving candidate

Age: Minimum 35 years (Age can be relaxed in case of departmental candidates and candidates having high academic standards)

Educational Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline from any recognised University with fluency in English, Hindi and Bengali. Knowledge in computer is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates having MBA degree from a recognised Institution/University. Should have at least 5 years experience in the similar capacity out of which 3 years in the immediate lower grade or scale. Retired person with similar experience may also apply and their candidature will be considered on contract basis. The contract is initially for a period of 1(one) year which may be extended for a further period of 3 years depending upon his ability to hold the job responsibility of the said post. A consolidated pay of Rs.25,000/- per month is to be given.
